A gripping, intimate and very personal portrait of the environment a group of residents of a psychiatric institution live in.

synopsis

During the course of a year a young volunteer in a psychiatric institution sets up a workshop with the aim of producing a stage performance with its residents. As time slowly passes both in and outside the institution, a dialogue begins to take place between the young volunteer and the residents. They tell him their stories as he tries to understand how they perceive the world...
Au cours d’une année, un jeune volontaire au sein d’une institution psychiatrique a mis sur pied un atelier visant à produire une performance théâtrale avec les résidents. Alors que le temps passe à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur de l’institution, un dialogue se met en place entre le jeune volontaire et les résidents. Ils lui racontent leur histoire tandis que le jeune volontaire essaie de comprendre comment les résidents perçoivent le monde. Un portrait passionnant, intime et très personnel de l’environnement dans lequel vit un groupe de résidents d’une institution psychiatrique.
