synopsis

As a freelance illustrator and perfectionist, Maya’s life is fun fun fun, but also busy busy busy. She motors through her work assignments and social activities perfectly, thanks to a supportive inner voice she affectionately calls her Little Motivator. But when Maya suddenly gets a full-on panic attack and has to slow down for a while, her deepest fear becomes reality: she can no longer be perfect. Maya and her Little Motivator set out to get her back on track ASAP, while struggling to accept that good enough might really be good enough.
Illustratrice indépendante et perfectionniste, Maya mène une vie très très très amusante, mais aussi très très très chargée. Elle parvient à honorer ses missions professionnelles et ses activités sociales, grâce à une "voix intérieure" qui la soutient et qu'elle appelle affectueusement son "petit motivateur". Mais lorsque Maya est soudainement prise d'une crise de panique et doit ralentir ses activités pendant un certain temps, sa peur la plus profonde devient réalité : elle n'est plus capable d'être parfaite... Maya et son Petit Motivateur entreprennent de la remettre en selle au plus vite, tout en s'efforçant d'accepter le fait qu'être "assez bien" pourrait bien être bien assez.
Als freelance illustratrice en perfectioniste is Maya's leven leuk-leuk-leuk, maar ook druk-druk-druk. Dankzij haar innerlijke stem, die haar altijd bemoedigend toespreekt, met daarnaast een flinke dosis doorzettingsvermogen, weet Maya de lange dagen van werk en sociale bezigheden door te komen. Maar wanneer ze vanuit het niets een hevige paniekaanval krijgt, wordt haar grootste angst werkelijkheid: het kan allemaal niet langer ‘perfect’... In de tijd die volgt, leert Maya met veel vallen en opstaan om gewoon ‘goed genoeg’ te zijn.
