Teenager Jean struggles to escape the ‘special education’ label that has followed him since the age of 12.

synopsis

Fifteen-year-old Jean Ciesielski struggles with the Flemish educational system. After entering special secondary education at the age of 12, he has repeatedly tried to move back ‘up’ but was refused. In September, Jean will make another attempt, seeking a path that would allow him to earn a high school diploma, confronting the rigid ‘waterfall system’ shaping his teenage years.
