synopsis

After an unexpected encounter, Fleur and Julian fall madly in love. Soon after Julian proposes, an ambitious, yet challenging idea starts to dawn on Fleur. Slowly but surely she works out a plan to get married in every country where she and her wife are allowed to do so. Fuelled by their love and a rising sense of urgency, they take a leap of faith. After only four marriages, their journey comes to an inevitable, painful halt.
Fleur et Julian tombent follement amoureuses et décident de se marier dans chaque pays où leur union peut être légalement reconnue. Portées par leur amour et leur engagement, elles s’élancent coeur et âme dans ce projet. Mais Après seulement quatre mariages, leur parcours va s’interrompre brusquement…
Na een onverwachte ontmoeting slaat de vonk over tussen Fleur en Julian. Wanneer Julian haar ten huwelijk vraagt, ontstaat bij Fleur het gedurfd idee om te trouwen in elk land waar twee vrouwen dat mogen. Wat begint als een droom, groeit uit tot een ambitieus plan. Gedreven door liefde en een alsmaar groeiend gevoel van noodzaak, wagen ze de sprong en beginnen ze aan hun unieke huwelijksreis. Na slechts vier ceremonies komt hun project 22 tot een onvermijdelijke, pijnlijke stilstand. Een verhaal over grenzeloze liefde en de kwetsbaarheid van het leven.
