A compelling 3D animation drama for (young) adults about a comatose girl whose magician father sets her up as a freak show in a failing circus.

In the 1950s, the Kavaros circus is in financial distress. After an accident in the ring, 17-year-old acrobat Juul falls into a coma and the doctor pronounces her brain-dead. Her father Bor, a magician, can't bear to be without his daughter, and spirits her away from the hospital. Then, when he shows her off as a living puppet, audiences begin to return to the circus. In silent protest at the indignity of this, and at the loss of her free will, Juul slowly turns to porcelain.
In de jaren '50 verkeert het Kavaros-circus in financiële moeilijkheden. Na een ongeval in de ring belandt de 17-jarige acrobate Juul in een coma en wordt ze door de dokter hersendood verklaard. Haar vader Bor, een goochelaar, kan zich geen leven zonder zijn dochter voorstellen en haalt haar stiekem weg uit het ziekenhuis. Nadat hij begint op te treden met zijn dochter als een levende pop, keert ook het publiek langzaam maar zeker terug naar de circusbanken. Als stil protest tegen deze vernedering en het verlies van haar vrije wil begint Juul stilaan te veranderen in porselein.
