Fascinated by the stories his fisherman grandfather tells him, 11-year-old Txiki decides to embark on an adventure and discover the secrets of the sea for himself.

synopsis

Txiki, an 11-year-old boy, lives in a fishing town marked by the noise of the ships' engines, the ships striking against the dock's walls and dying fish flapping on the stone. To escape from the daily routine, Txiki spends the day at his grandfather's house. Sabin is an old fisherman who claims to have seawater running through his veins. Fascinated by the mysterious stories that his grandfather tells, Txiki decides to embark an adventure and discover the secrets of the sea for himself.
Txiki, 11 ans, vie dans un village de pêcheur rythmé par le bruit des machines, des coups de bateaux contre la digue et des battements de poissons avant de mourir. Pour s’échapper de son quotidien, il passe la plupart du temps chez son grand père Sabin, un vieux pêcheur qui dit avoir de l’eau de mer qui coule dans les veines. Fasciné par ses mystérieuses histoires, Txiki décide de partir à la découverte des secrets de la mer.
De 11-jarige Txiki woont in een vissersdorpje getypeerd door machinale geluiden, boten die botsen tegen de dijken en vissen die spartelen richting hun sterfbed. Om de dagdagelijkse routine te doorbreken, spendeert hij een groot deel van zijn tijd bij zijn grootvader Sabin, een oude visser die vastberaden is dat er zeewater door zijn aderen vloeit. Gefascineerd door zijn mysterieuze verhalen, besluit Txiki zelf de geheimen van de zee te gaan ontdekken.
