Three years after a diagnosis of terminal cancer, Tore Sercu and his family are still living in extra time.

In his early twenties, Tore Sercu was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, an aggressive and incurable cancer. He was soon declared a palliative case, with nothing more to be done beyond managing his pain. Three years on, he is still living in extra time. His family constantly walk the tightrope between consciously saying goodbye and consciously living. It is a complex journey they now hope to share in this documentary, offering others a glimpse of their experience.
