synopsis

Modou Modou is a documentary that follows three brothers, the Senegalese street vendors Youssou, Bass and Kamal. While their work locations in Spain and Senegal are the setting for the rituals of street vending, their homes are the backdrop for everyday domestic scenes, including conversations about Senegalese society in transition.
Een documentaire die drie broers volgt: de Senegalese straatverkopers Youssou, Bass en Kamal. Terwijl hun werkplekken in Spanje en Senegal het decor vormen voor de rituelen van het straatverkopen, vormen hun huizen het decor voor alledaagse huiselijke taferelen, waaronder gesprekken over de veranderende Senegalese samenleving.
