André, unemployed and grieving, joins forces with homeless teenager Thierry to search for the boy's family, unaware that it will force one of them to confront his demons.

synopsis

Ex-truck driver André (55) fills his days with fixing up a remote roadside café. His routine existence is shaken up when he catches homeless teenager Thierry attempting to break in. Strongly moved by his story, André takes him under his wing and they set out to find a trace of Thierry's family. During the road trip, not only a special friendship grows, but also the realisation that they need each other to put the past to rest.
André, 55 ans, est un ancien conducteur de poids lourds qui occupe ses journées en rénovant un café pour routiers. Sa petite vie rangée se voit bouleversée lorsqu’il attrape Thierry en plein cambriolage. Touché par l’histoire de cet ado sans-abris, André décide de le prendre sous son aile et de l’aider à retrouver sa famille. Cette quête fera naître une amitié très forte entre les deux hommes qui se rendront compte qu’ils ont besoin l’un de l’autre pour parvenir à laisser le passé derrière eux.

Zijn routineuze bestaan wordt opgeschrikt wanneer hij de dakloze tiener Thierry betrapt op een poging tot inbraak. Sterk geraakt door zijn verhaal, neemt André hem onder zijn hoede en gaan ze op zoek naar een spoor van Thierry’s familie. Tijdens de roadtrip groeit niet alleen een bijzondere vriendschap maar ook het besef dat ze elkaar nodig hebben om het verleden te laten rusten.
