When a paraglider falls mysteriously from the sky, the people of Zinal in the Swiss Alps take action.

Zinal, a small town in the Swiss Alps, looks straight up toward the melting glaciers of the Couronne Impériale. But what can the townspeople do? They can’t stop the world from falling apart. And when the threat is so immediate, and their powerlessness so great, can their response be anything other than nihilistic, cynical indifference? Then a paraglider falls mysteriously from the sky, and Zinal start to change.
Même lorsqu'un parapente tombe mystérieusement du ciel, les habitants de Zinal ne semblent pas s'en émouvoir. La petite ville des Alpes suisses regarde droit vers les glaciers de la Couronne Impériale qui fondent. Mais que faire? Ils ne peuvent pas empêcher le monde de se décomposer, mais lorsque la menace est si immédiate et l'impuissance personnelle si grande, comment réagir autrement que par une indifférence nihiliste et cynique?
Zelfs wanneer een paraglider op mysterieuze wijze uit de lucht valt lijkt het de inwoners van Zinal niets te schelen. Het stadje in de Zwitserse Alpen kijkt recht op naar de smeltende gletsjers van de Couronne Impériale. Maar wat moeten ze doen? Ze kunnen het verval van de wereld niet stoppen, maar als de dreiging zo onmiddellijk is, en de persoonlijke onmacht zo groot, is er dan een andere manier dan te reageren met nihilistische, cynische onverschilligheid?
