Pok follows the story of the origin of humankind on Earth, in a universe where we descend from barnacles. It is a tale about existentialism, gender, and the destructive nature of humanity.

synopsis

A small, nameless vessel is sent to the Earth's ocean by extraterrestrial forces to introduce humans as the dominant species and to seek out a potential partner, human or otherwise. Soon, the vessel finds a fertile barnacle and chooses it as its mate. This cross-breeding results in a rapid evolution of the barnacles, gradually acquiring more and more human traits. A large group of humans emerges, each with a rock for a head, still attached to the barnacle from which they were born. They march as a group toward the shore and kill a small group of ape-like creatures gathered at the water’s edge. A new sci-fi hypothesis about the origin of humanity is born.
Een naamloos vaartuig wordt door buitenaardse krachten naar onze oceaan gestuurd om de mens als dominante soort te introduceren en een potentiële partner te zoeken, die al dan niet menselijk is. Het vaartuig vindt een vruchtbare zeepok en kiest deze als partner. Deze kruising resulteert in een snelle evolutie van de zeepokken, die geleidelijk aan steeds meer menselijke eigenschappen krijgen. Een grote groep mensen verschijnt, elk met een steen als hoofd, nog steeds vastgehecht aan de zeepok waaruit ze geboren zijn. Ze trekken naar de kust en doden een kleine groep apen die zich aan de waterkant bevinden. Een nieuwe sciencefictionhypothese over de oorsprong van de mensheid is geboren.
