An intimate portrait of Marie-Jo Gobron, a Belgian poet and the director's mother. Twenty years after the release of a film about his father's paintings, the filmmaker continues his exploration of his parents' artistic universe. Born in 1916 in Flanders near the French border, Marie-Jo writes mostly in French. Now, at the age of 85, she introduces an autobiographical novel about her youth and about her daring emancipation in both art and love.
Le portrait intime de Marie-Jo Gobron, une poétesse belge et la mère du réalisateur. 20 ans après la sortie d’un film à propos des peintures de son père, le réalisateur continue la description de l’univers artistique de ses parents. Né en 1916 en Flandre près de la frontière française, Marie-Jo écrit principalement en français. Agée de 85 ans, elle commence à écrire une nouvelle autobiographique à propos de sa jeunesse, des nombreux événements de sa vie, de son émancipation audacieuse dans l’art et l’amour, qu’elle confie dans ce film.
