A few years ago Charleroi was voted the ugliest city in Europe by a Dutch newspaper survey. Providence tells the story of three diverse people moving along post-apocalyptic territories in the midst of Belgium's largest former industrial capital. Each individual utilises Charleroi's ugliness in their own peculiar way in their struggle to survive.
