As the war in Syria spirals out of control, two brothers from Belgium are drawn into the conflict.

synopsis

Kamal resolves to change his life for the better, and so leaves Belgium to help victims of the war in Syria. But when he arrives, he is forced to join a militia and is left stranded in Raqqa. Back home, his younger brother Nassim quickly becomes easy prey for radical recruiters, who promise to reunite him with his brother. Their mother, Leila, fights to protect the only thing she has left: her youngest son.
Kamal décide de se rendre en Syrie afin de venir en aide aux victimes de la guerre. Mais à son arrivée, il est forcé de rejoindre un groupe armé et se retrouve bloqué à Raqqa. Son jeune frère Nassim, qui rêve de le rejoindre, devient une proie facile pour les recruteurs du djihad. Leïla, leur mère, tente alors de protéger son plus jeune fils.
Wanneer Kamal besluit zijn leven te beteren, verlaat hij België om oorlogsslachtoffers in Syrië te helpen. Maar eens aangekomen wordt hij al snel gedwongen om zich bij een gelovige militie aan te sluiten en zit hij vast in Raqqa. Ondertussen wordt zijn jongere broer Nassim thuis in Brussel een gemakkelijke prooi voor radicale rekruteerders die hem beloven hem te herenigen met zijn grote broer. Hun moeder Leila vecht om het enige wat ze nog heeft te beschermen: haar jongste zoon.
