Teenager Manon finds a way into her family history by playing along with the delusions of her increasingly confused grandmother.

synopsis

Manon, an introverted 16-year-old, is forced to live with her insufferable grandmother Yvonne, a former feminist activist suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Things take a turn for the worse when Yvonne, confused, starts mistaking Manon for her daughter. Unexpectedly, Manon decides to take on the role of her mother, who she hardly knew, and gets involved in Yvonne's delusions. This is an opportunity for her to discover the true history of the women in her family and to learn, in turn, how to become a woman herself.
Manon, une adolescente introvertie de 16 ans, se voit obligée de cohabiter avec son insupportable grand-mère Yvonne, une ex-militante féministe atteinte de la maladie d’Alzheimer. La situation se corse quand Yvonne, confuse, commence à prendre Manon pour sa fille.
Contre toute attente, Manon en- tre dans les délires d’Yvonne et re- joue le rôle de sa mère qu’elle n’a presque pas connue. C’est l’occasion pour elle de découvrir la véritable histoire des femmes de sa famille et d’apprendre, à son tour, à en devenir une.
Manon, een introverte 16-jarige, wordt gedwongen om bij haar onuitstaanbare grootmoeder Yvonne te wonen, een voormalige feministische activiste die lijdt aan de ziekte van Alzheimer. De situatie verslechtert wanneer Yvonne, in de war, Manon voor haar dochter gaat aanzien.
Onverwacht raakt Manon betrokken bij Yvonne's waanideeën en neemt ze de rol aan van haar moeder, die ze nauwelijks heeft gekend. Dit is een kans voor haar om de ware geschiedenis van de vrouwen in haar familie te ontdekken en om op haar beurt te leren hoe ze er zelf een kan worden.
