synopsis

A classic re-interpreted for the big screen: nobody comes up with such unusual inventions as 11-year old Tobbi Findeisen... One day, the little robot Robbi lands at his feet after being separated from his parents when his space ship crashes. To help in their search for Robbi's parents, the two friends invent a vehicle that can fly, swim and drive: a Fliewatüüt! In the meantime, the unscrupulous Sir Joshua and his super agents Brad Bloodbath and Sharon Silencer are on the robot's tail wanting to use him for their own evil purposes. But even the smartest super agents shouldn't underestimate what best friends can accomplish together!
Tobias Findeisen, door iedereen Tobbie genoemd, is een jongetje dat in de derde klas zit van de lagere school. Hij is erg slim en zou het liefst uitvinder worden. Hij is anders dan zijn klasgenoten die de hele dag met hun smartphone zitten te prutsen of boven hun computers hangen. Tobbie heeft dan ook geen vrienden en hij wordt op school vaak gepest. Zijn laatste uitvinding is een voertuig dat kan rijden als een auto, varen als een boot en vliegen als een vliegtuig. Deze Fliewatüüt is bovendien milieuvriendelijk, want het werkt op frambozensap of levertraan. Tobbie weet alleen nog niet hoe hij zijn uitvinding zou kunnen bouwen. Maar dan staat er 's nachts een robot in zijn werkhuis, Robbie, die in de derde klas van de robotschool zit. Hij heeft een ongeluk gehad met een ruimteschip en is zo op aarde terechtgekomen, in de schuur van Tobbie. Met de hulp van zijn nieuwe robotvriend weet Tobbie de Fliewatüüt daadwerkelijk te bouwen.
