synopsis

Roger Boeckx and Filippo Zito are opposition councillors in Saint-Nicholas, a suburb of Liège that has been controlled for more than a century by the Socialist Party. In this former working-class area, one of the most densely populated in Wallonia, they see themselves as whistle-blowers, exposing an opaque municipal administration. As the elections approach, the last in which they will stand, Roger and Filippo dream of turning the local political game on its head.
Roger Boeckx et Filippo Zito sont conseillers communaux de l’opposition à Saint-Nicolas, commune liégeoise dominée en majorité absolue depuis plus d’un siècle par le parti socialiste. Dans cette ancienne cité ouvrière, l’une des plus densément peuplées de Wallonie, ils se voient comme des lanceurs d’alerte face à une autorité communale opaque dont ils fustigent les débordements. Alors qu’approchent les élections communales, ils rêvent, pour leur dernier tour de piste électoral, de bouleverser le jeu politique local.
