A documentary exploring the emotional pain of a couple whose adopted son went missing in the woods of Hungary 13 years before.

A Belgian couple attempts to process the disappearance of their adopted son, who went missing after travelling in the wilderness. Through personal diaries of the absent boy, the film unravels the reasons behind his departure, bringing to life a complex thinker with strong ideals. While the police make a final attempt to solve the case, the boy's parents try to anticipate every possible outcome. But are they both ready to let go?
Tim Cabie verdween tijdens een impulsieve reis naar de Hongaarse wildernis in 2001. Sindsdien ontbreekt elk spoor. Zijn adoptieouders Aimé en Yvonne leven na zeventien jaar nog steeds in onzekerheid over zijn lot: was er sprake van moord, zelfmoord, of leeft hij misschien nog? Door middel van de persoonlijke dagboeken van de uit Korea geadopteerde Tim worden zijn denkwereld en vertrekredenen ontrafeld. De politie onderzoekt zijn verdwijning een laatste keer, maar zijn Aimé en Yvonne wel klaar om vrede te nemen met de afsluiting, of het uitblijven daarvan?
