synopsis

Foorkramers follows a number of people from a fairground community during their annual tour of Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels, and invites us to visit behind the scenes of the great travelling show. At a time when fairgrounds are being increasingly banned from city centres, we share the daily lives of the people whose livelihood is dependent on preserving its heritage.
Foorkramers volgt een aantal figuren uit de kermisgemeenschap tijdens hun jaarlijkse grote tournee door Vlaanderen, Wallonië en Brussel en nodigt ons uit voor een bezoek aan de achterkant van het decor van die grote reizende kermis. Terwijl de kermissen steeds meer uit de stadscentra wordt verdreven, delen we het dagelijks leven van de mensen die van de foor leven en haar erfgoed in stand houden.
