Three different couples, from different generations and backgrounds, meet in the waiting room of a fertility clinic and become friends. For better or worse.

synopsis

Bert and Kirstie, Charlie and Ziggy, and Ellen and Ellen become friends because they each have a strong desire to have a child. But also because they understand each other, and together can escape from an outside world that doesn’t seem to understand them at all. That's how they become The Club. Which, frankly, they never really wanted to be a part of. Together they try to forget the suffocating desire for a child that has taken over their entire lives.
In De Club volgen we drie koppels - Bert & Kirstie, Charlie & Ziggy en Ellen & Ellen - die elkaar leren kennen in de wachtkamer van de vruchtbaarheidskliniek. Ondanks hun totaal verschillende achtergrond worden ze vrienden. In de eerste plaats omdat ze elk een sterke kinderwens hebben. Maar vooral omdat ze elkaar begrijpen en er samen in slagen te ontsnappen aan een buitenwereld die hen totaal niet lijkt te begrijpen. Zo worden ze De Club. Waar ze eerlijk gezegd nooit echt deel van wilden uitmaken. Samen proberen ze die verstikkende kinderwens te vergeten die hun hele leven overnam.
