When war breaks out, 10-year-old Toda must flee across the border to try and find her mother. This leads her into a an adventure where she meets strange people, winds up in crazy situations and finds a special new friend.

synopsis

Ten-year-old Toda lives with her father who's the best baker in town. But one day there's a war and her father has to leave to defend the country. Toda is forced to flee across the border on her own to find her mom who lives in another country. But how are they going to find each other? Toda heads off on an adventure where she meets strange people, winds up in crazy situations and finds a special, new friend.
De 10-jarige Toda woont in een bakkerij met haar vader, de beste taartenbakker van het land. Op een dag verandert alles: Toda’s vader wordt onverwacht weggeroepen om het land te verdedigen. Toda moet naar haar moeder, die in het buurland woont en waar het veilig is. En dus begint Toda aan een avontuurlijke en spannende reis waar ze onderweg de meest vreemde mensen ontmoet en in absurde situaties terecht komt. Toda is een meisje dat niet snel opgeeft, maar zal ze haar moeder ook vinden?
