A deaf-mute forester is completely withdrawn from the world. He lives in the tower of a medieval castle which is in ruins. He uses his telescope to spy on an artist, who has decided to live in isolation with a girl who poses for him. But his solitude remains, he never comes in real contact with his neighbours, but their TV set shows him the world they come from. From the top of his tower, he falls in love with the young girl...
Un forestier sourd-muet est complètement exclu du reste du monde. Il vit dans la tour d'un château médiéval en ruine. Il utilise son télescope pour espionner un artiste, qui a décidé de vivre isolé avec une fille qui pose pour lui. Cependant, sa solitude continue. Il n'entre jamais en contact réel avec ses voisins, mais leur poste de télévision lui montre le monde d'où ils viennent. Du haut de sa tour, il tombe amoureux de la jeune fille...
