Thirty years after a wave of UFO sightings in Belgium people are still searching for answers. Can an explanation ever be found, or is the thrill of the chase more exciting?

synopsis

In the late 1980s, thousands of Belgians began reporting strange sightings in the skies over their otherwise stable country: large triangular unidentifiable flying objects. Nobody knew for sure what they were. To solve the mystery, a civil investigation group started working together with the authorities, counting on the support of the gendarmerie and the Belgian Air Force. Thirty years later, the Belgian UFO wave still lives in the minds of witnesses and onlookers from the era, some of whom are still searching for answers today. What on earth was going on in the skies over Belgium?
A la fin des années 1980, des milliers de Belges ont observé d’étranges formes triangulaires flottant au-dessus de leur pays pourtant calme. Personne ne savait ce que c’était. Afin de résoudre le mystère, une enquête est mise en place par un groupe civil et les autorités officielles. Trente ans plus tard, « la vague belge OVNI » vit encore vivement dans l’esprit de ceux qui cherchent des réponses. Que se passait-il dans le ciel au-dessus de la Belgique ?
Eind jaren tachtig zien duizenden Belgen vreemde driehoekige toestellen geruisloos door de lucht zweven. De vele waarnemingen zijn onverklaarbaar. In een poging het mysterie op te lossen, werkt een civiele onderzoeksgroep samen met de officiële instanties. Ze mogen rekenen op de steun van de rijkswacht en de Belgische luchtmacht. Dertig jaar later leeft de 'Belgische UFO-golf' verder in de hoofden van hen die nog steeds op zoek zijn naar antwoorden. Wat speelde er zich in hemelsnaam af in de hemel boven België?
