The Sound of Seoul explores the unique sound of post-war South Korea, and goes in search of the musical legacy of a nation.

Covering a time span of nearly six decades, this documentary feature and mini-series offers a unique opportunity to document the untold stories of Korean music pioneers, and to introduce their incredible sound to a new generation, not only in Korea, but all over the world. The series is also an ode to the resilience of Korean musicians, young and old. Censorship is universal and timeless: let The Sound of Seoul be a reminder that artistic freedom is always worth fighting for.
