Klara and her ex-boyfriend Mahmoud flee from Brussels to Stockholm, pursued by MI6 secret agents. At the same time, former agent Douglas Marlowe learns that he is Klara's father, and sets out to try to help her. During the ordeal that follows, Klara and Douglas see questions from their past answered, but also learn that the truth has many layers.

synopsis

Klara Walldéen is a rising star of the EU parliament. Douglas Marlowe is an MI6 agent in forced retirement, struggling with the ghosts of his past. Klara is dragged into an international conspiracy when her ex-boyfriend - human-rights campaigner Mahmoud – uncovers some highly sensitive information. At the same moment, Douglas discovers that Klara is his daughter. In the wreckage of their carefully constructed false lives, the two lost souls ultimately find their own truths, and each other.
