What if a virus turned everyone on Earth into zombies? Everyone except people with a certain DNA abnormality. Everyone except people with trisomy-21, aka Down’s syndrome. What if the fate of the world depends on these heroes?

synopsis

Four friends with Down’s syndrome live together in a residential group. When one of them gets the opportunity to move into supported independent living, she seizes this chance, even though it strains her friendship with the others. Shortly after, when the zombie apocalypse breaks out, the three remaining friends gradually realise that they are immune to this virus. They are saved by The Butcher, a person with Down’s syndrome who has a strong passion for horror films and extensive knowledge about zombies and how to survive them. Together, they decide to venture into the dangerous outside world in search of their friend in need, and a solution to the zombie virus.
Vier vrienden met het Syndroom van Down wonen samen in een leefgroep. Wanneer één van hen de kans krijgt om begeleid zelfstandig te gaan wonen, grijpt ze deze kans, ook al zet ze daarmee de vriendschap met de anderen onder druk. Kort daarna, wanneer de zombie-apocalyps uitbreekt, beseffen de drie overgebleven vrienden langzaam dat ze immuun zijn voor dit virus. Ze worden gered door 'De Slachter', een persoon met het Down-syndroom die een grote passie heeft voor horrorfilms en uitgebreide kennis heeft over zombies en hoe ze te overleven. Samen besluiten ze om zich in het gevaarlijke buitenwereld te begeven op zoek naar hun vriendin in nood en naar een oplossing voor het zombievirus.
