During a trip along the Amalfi Coast, for Timmy seemingly small moments coincide with difficult memories of his childhood. His girlfriend’s gentle attention and warmth of the sun-drenched region cannot stop him from wanting to go back to himself as a child. With the necessary courage, he manages to create an imaginary portal to the past to start comfor- ting himself as a little boy.

synopsis

Billy the Lion endlessly tries to catch the ostrich Bob using cartoon tricks. At the same time, Timmy travels through Italy with his girlfriend Marie, while struggling with painful childhood memories and working in therapy to comfort his “inner child.” He recalls his grandmother’s 80th birthday, a trompe-l’oeil painting in a restaurant, her accident, and how he was emotionally dismissed. As an adult, Timmy revisits these memories, meets his younger self, and together they find warmth and comfort in the imagined world of Billy and Bob.
