An army family has to re-adjust when the father returns home.

synopsis

Collin and his older brother Gilles often had to do without their father, who was frequently away on military service. But this summer is different. Their father’s new job means he will be at home, with them, all the time. While 12-year-old Collin is interested in his father’s military life, he has a different view of the world. He dreams of becoming a musician. Will his father understand this ambition? Can they reconnect after all these years?
We volgen Collin (12) in een uitzonderlijke zomer die hij doorbrengt bij papa. Papa zit in het leger, waardoor hij en zijn broer Gilles (14) hun vader vaak hebben moeten missen. Maar deze zomer wordt anders: papa verandert van functie, waardoor hij nooit meer lang weg moet. Hoewel Collin geïnteresseerd is in het militaire leven van papa, heeft hij een andere blik op de wereld. Hij droomt van een leven als muzikant, in het midden van een podium. Heeft papa begrip voor Collin's dromen en gevoelens? En kunnen Collin en papa hun band na al die jaren lijmen?
