While mapping the borders of a moving landscape, a surveyor stands still and observes.

A stranger arrives in an unfamiliar place and watches the world through the measuring equipment of his profession. In the circular vignette of the land surveyor's lens, everything becomes uncertain: things look as far away as they are close-by and rectangular reality curls up into circles. While mapping the borders of a moving landscape, the man stands still and observes.
Un étranger arrive dans une place inconnue et il voit le monde par le testeur de sa profession. Dans la vignette circulaire de la lentille d’arpenteur tout est incertain: les choses apparaissent aussi loin qu’ils sont proches. La réalité rectangulaire devient ronde. L’homme s’arrêté et observe le monde pendant il encarte le paysage.
Een vreemdeling arriveert op een onbekende plek en bekijkt de wereld doorheen het meetapparaat van zijn beroep. In het circkelvormig vignette van de lens van de landmeter wordt alles onzeker: de dingen lijken even ver weg als ze dichtbij zijn en de rechthoekige realiteit krult op in ronde beelden. De man staat stil en observeert terwijl hij het verandert landschap in beeld brengt.
