EN - Storm Voeten (12) is the son of printer Klaas Voeten, who secretly prints banned texts. Unintentionally, Storm becomes the object of a headhunt by the Inquisition for a forbidden pamphlet penned by Martin Luther during which Storm's father is arrested. Before running off, Storm - understanding their significance - grabs the offending printing blocks. Threatened by the Inquisition who will do anything to retrieve and destroy the blocks - fearing the spread of the Reformation - and aided by Marieke, a Catholic orphan girl who lives in the underground sewers of Antwerp, Storm is caught in a race against time to save his father from death as a heretic and to aid the struggle for freedom of expression and religion.
NL - Storm vertelt het verhaal van Storm Voeten (Davy Gomez), de 12-jarige zoon van drukker Klaas Voeten (Yorick Van Wageningen). Wat Storm niet weet, is dat Klaas in het geheim ook verboden teksten drukt. Storm’s moeder (Angela Schijf) is het hier absoluut niet mee eens. Als Klaas door inquisiteur Frans van der Hulst (Peter Van den Begin) wordt betrapt tijdens het drukken van een belangrijke, verboden brief, wordt Storm ongewild het middelpunt van de jacht op de originele brieftekst. Bedreigd door de Inquisitie en geholpen door Marieke (Juna de Leeuw), een weesmeisje dat in de Antwerpse ruien woont, moet Storm in een race tegen de klok zijn vader zien te redden van de doodstraf. Maar wie kan hij vertrouwen?
