synopsis

Rita is filled with joy when news comes that her 26-year-old son Dennis will be released. Dennis, who has learning difficulties, has been serving a prison sentence for the alleged rape of a young girl. But some people in the neighbourhood are not happy about his homecoming. Barbara, the victim's sister and mother of an eight-year-old girl, is the most combative opponent; but Rita fights like a lioness for her son's rehabilitation. Finally she succeeds in transforming the community's fury into a united struggle for a humane future for her beloved son.
Rita est comblée de bonheur lorsqu’elle apprend que Dennis, son fils de 26 ans, va être libéré. Ayant appris de ses erreurs, Dennis a purgé sa peine de prison pour un viol sur une fille mineure.
