Bare Handed is a cinematographic and choreographic poem. Freely inspired by Joseph Noiret's text and his daugthter Michèle's choreography, Bare-Handed is a film of uncommon beauty. In it, a woman's progress in the world unfolds step by step. Solitary bearer of multiple imaginings, she dances her worlds of memories, sensations, discoveries and rekindled emotions.

Bare Handed is a cinematographic and choreographic poem. Freely inspired by Joseph Noiret's text and his daugthter Michèle's choreography, Bare-Handed is a film of uncommon beauty. In it, a woman's progress in the world unfolds step by step. Solitary bearer of multiple imaginings, she dances her worlds of memories, sensations, discoveries and rekindled emotions. With light and shadow as her partners, she approaches the world created by her dance, confronts and captures it. She immerses herself in this world and eventually loses herself in it. n this way the rhythm of dance joins the pleasure of pure cinema in fluid, dream-like harmony. Bare-Handed is an original work, created for the screen, not the documentation of a performance. This film features also the choreographer's father, the poet Joseph Noiret, co-founder of the famous artists' group Cobra.
Bare Handed est un poème cinématographique et chorégraphique. Librement inspiré du texte de Joseph Noiret et de la chorégraphie de sa fille Michèle, Bare-Handed est un film d'une beauté hors du commun. Dans le film, la progression d'une femme dans le monde se dévoile étape par étape. Porteuse solitaire de multiples imaginants, elle danse ses mondes de souvenirs, de sensations, de découvertes et d'émotions réanimées. Avec des ombres et des lumières, tout comme ses partenaires, elle s'approche du monde créé par ses danses, le confronte et s'en saisit. Elle se plonge dans ce monde, et finalement se perd dans celui-ci. De cette façon, le rythme de la danse se joint au plaisir du cinéma pur dans une harmonie fluide et onirique. Bare-Handed est un travail original créé pour l'écran, et non la documentation d'une interprétation. Le film représente aussi le père de la chorégraphe, le poète Joseph Noiret, co-fondateur du célèbre groupe d'artistes Cobra.
