Bombay, India's most energetic city, attracts thousands of people every year that have only one goal: to become successful in the film industry. With a yearly production of 700 films, the Indian film industry is by far the largest dream factory in the world. The director invites the viewer to discover this fascinating yet brutal microcosm where stars are adored and technicians are disposable where the underworld tries to control the financial mechanisms, whilst more and more independent filmmakers want to comment on social issues, giving people a chance to reflect their own situation. The film gives us an unprecedented inside view in this remarkable world where excessive poverty and opulent wealth mingle and strive.
