synopsis

Comrade Kim Yong Mi is a North Korean coalminer. Her dream of becoming a trapeze artist is crushed by the arrogant trapeze star Pak Jang Phil who believes miners belong underground and not in the air.
Kim Yong Mi travaille dans un charbonnage en Corée du Nord. Elle s'apprête à réaliser son rêve de devenir trapéziste en passant une audition pour le cique de Pyong Yang. Mais très vite, elle sera confrontée à l'arrongance de la trapéziste Pak Jang Phil, qui considère que les mineurs ne sont pas faits pour travailler dans l'air, mais bien dans le sol. Une histoire réconfortante dans laquelle l'impossible devient possible.
Kim Yong Mi werkt in een steenkoolmijn op het Noord-Koreaanse platteland. Wanneer ze de kans krijgt om auditie te doen in het PyongYang circus ziet ze haar grote droom om trapeze artiest te worden dichterbij komen, maar ze wordt gedwarsboomd door de arrogante trapezester Pak Jang Phil, die gelooft dat mijnwerkers onder de grond thuishoren en niet in de lucht.
