synopsis

1988. Three young gay men, Ronnie, Lennart, and Bas, throw themselves into Amsterdam's nightlife scene; a life full of friendship, sex, and drugs. Until the mysterious AIDS virus casts a shadow over their lives and one of them disappears after becoming infected. Thirty-two years later, in the middle of the 2021 lockdown, Ronnie recognizes the missing Bas in the subway. An evening unfolds that no one had expected, but which had been in the air for years. The AIDS epidemic has had a major impact on all three of their lives, and where they lost each other 32 years ago, they hope to find each other again.
1988. Drie jonge homoseksuele mannen, Ronnie, Lennart en Bas, storten zich in de uitgaansscene van Amsterdam; een leven vol vriendschap, seks en drugs. Tot het mysterieuze Aidsvirus een sluier legt over hun levens en één van hen verdwijnt na te zijn besmet. 32 jaar later, midden in de lockdown van 2021, herkent Ronnie de verdwenen Bas in de metro. Er ontspint zich een avond waar niemand op had gerekend, maar die al jaren in de lucht hing. De Aidsepidemie heeft grote impact gehad op alle drie hun levens en daar waar ze elkaar 32 jaar geleden zijn kwijtgeraakt, hopen ze elkaar weer terug te vinden.
