Thirty-three-year-old Lin is a long-distance swimmer. For four years, she has been in training for the gruelling swim from Dover to France. A few weeks before her event, she meets Henri, a deep-sea welder, who thrives on danger as much as she does. Mutual seduction consumes them, and they plummet into a cruel love affair, drawing each other ever deeper, forgetting that lovers too can drown.
Lin (33) is een succesvolle langeafstandzwemster. Ze traint nu vier jaar voor de loodzware overtocht van Dover naar de Franse kust. Een paar weken voor haar race ontmoet ze Henri (38), een onderwaterlasser, die, net als zij, opbloeit bij gevaar. Lin en Henri duiken head first in een intense liefdesrelatie. Ze trekken elkaar steeds dieper en dieper naar het duister en vergeten daarbij dat ook geliefden kunnen verdrinken.
