In Stockholm, a Boeing 747 takes off for New York City. As the plane reaches cruising altitude, a message is found on board: the plane has been hijacked and will explode if the demands are not met. In this second season of STHLM Requiem, Frederika Bergman, now working at the Swedish Justice Department, reunites with police investigator Alex Recht in order to resolve the situation.
In het tweede seizoen van STHLM Requiem zien we twee van onze hoofdpersonen terug in zes intense afleveringen die zich over een dag en een crisis uitstrekken. Een vliegtuig wordt gekaapt. De kapers vragen de vrijlating van Said Kehlifi, een Syrische academicus die onder duistere omstandigheden is gearresteerd door de Zweedse inlichtingendienst. Het gekaapte vliegtuig wordt de pion in een spel tussen de diepe staat van Zweden, een onwaarschijnlijk team van onderzoekers en mysterieuze kapers van wie de echte motieven niet zijn wat ze lijken
