This film is an African Boyhood which gives an insight into the political and historical situation of Burundi throughout the last 24 years through the eyes of six street children who now have become adults.

synopsis

Thirty years ago, filmmaker Philippe de Pierpont met six children living on the streets in Burundi. He vowed to film them at key stages in their lives. Today, he reunites with them for the fourth time: they are aged forty and only three of them are still alive. What outlook do they have on themselves and the world around them?

Dertig jaar geleden ontmoette filmmaker Philippe de Pierpont zes straatkinderen in Burundi. Hij beloofde om hen te filmen tijdens belangrijke periodes in hun leven. Vandaag ziet hij ze voor de vierde keer terug. Ze zijn rond de veertig jaar oud en slechts drie van hen zijn nog in leven. Hoe kijken zij naar de wereld rondom hen en naar zichzelf?
