synopsis

For the first time in 18 years, Luigi Bertone (50), a retired miner, is returning to Sicily for his goddaughter's wedding. He bought himself a brand-new car to show off. But at the first lay-by, his car breaks down and he gets involved in a hold-up by Anita, a 17-year-old refugee from an orphanage. They have to run from the law now. Luigi, a conservative, childless, middle-aged man, is now stuck with a rebel who never had any real parents. Overcoming obstacles together, they grow to like each other.
« Le premier road movie dans lequel le héros ne peut démarrer sa propre voiture ! » Pour la première fois en 18 ans, Luigi Bertone (50), un mineur à la retraite, retourne en Sicile pour le mariage de sa filleule. Il s’est acheté une voiture flambant neuf pour frimer. Mais à la première aire de repos, sa voiture arrête de fonctionner et il est entraîné dans un hold-up par Anita, une jeune réfugiée de 17 ans qui vient d’un orphelinat. Ils doivent désormais fuir ensemble. Luigi, un homme d’âge moyen conservateur et sans enfant est désormais coincé avec une rebelle qui n’a jamais vraiment eu de parents. En franchissant des obstacles ensemble, ils apprennent à s’apprécier.
