Winning the lottery appeals to everyone's imagination. Wouldn't life be so much easier? Doesn't money take away all your worries?

The Sterckxs are a regular middle-class family from Leuven. Paula is the one who comes up with the idea of reviving a family tradition on the occasion of her granddaughter's ninth birthday. Together with her husband Wilfried, their daughters Becca and Nicky, and their son Chris she wants to fill out a lottery form again, for old time's sake. None of them suspects that this will change their lives drastically... They filled in the six correct numbers and are the only jackpot winners. Very soon, they learn that money cannot solve all of their problems and are forced to re-evaluate their lives and to consider the things that are really important: love, family, identity, creativity and health.
Gagner à la loterie plairait à tout le monde. La vie ne serait-elle pas beaucoup plus facile? L’argent ne chasse-t-il pas tous vos tracas? Malheureusement, pour la plupart d’entre nous, cela restera juste un fantasme. Ce n’est pas le cas de la famille Sterckx, une famille de classe moyenne de Louvain. Paula est celle qui proposa l’idée de faire revivre une vieille tradition familiale à l’occasion du 9^ème anniversaire de sa petite-fille. Avec son mari Wilfried, leurs filles Becca et Nicky et leur fils Chris, elle veut remplir à nouveau un billet de loto, comme au bon vieux temps. Aucun d’eux ne s’attend à ce que cela change fondamentalement leur vie...
