Zahira, 18, is close to her family until her parents ask her to follow Pakistani tradition to choose a husband. Torn between family customs and her western lifestyle, the young woman turns for help to her brother and confidant Amir.
Zahira, belgo-pakistanaise de dix-huit ans, est très proche de chacun des membres de sa famille jusqu’au jour où on lui impose un mariage traditionnel. Écartelée entre les exigences de ses parents, son mode de vie occidental et ses aspirations de liberté, la jeune fille compte sur l’aide de son grand frère et confident, Amir.
Zahira, een 18-jarige Belgisch-Pakistaanse, heeft een heel sterke band met haar familie tot de dag dat haar een traditioneel huwelijk wordt opgelegd. Verscheurd door de eis van haar ouders, die botst met haar westerse levenswijze en haar hang naar vrijheid, rekent ze op de steun van Amir, haar oudere broer en toeverlaat.
