This is the story of a great friendship between two men: Mitré, a poor Macedonian Christian and Osman, a rich Turkish Muslim. Despite the social and cultural differences between the two families, their friendship lasts for years.

synopsis

The Ottoman Empire at the turn of the 20th century. This is the story of a great friendship between two men: Mitré, a poor Macedonian Christian and Osman, a rich Turkish Muslim. Despite the social and cultural differences between the two families, their friendship lasts for years... But the tension at that time becomes too big: the friendship falls apart. Little Pavel, nephew of Mitré, becomes reason of an escalation of violence and vengeance. Two generations later, Pavel is living in Belgium under the name of Paul. He has a daughter, Els. Orchan, descendant of Osman, arrives with the quest of finding him and revenging his family. He falls in love with Els, without knowing that her father is the one he has to kill. When he finds out the truth, he finds himself faced with a great dilemma: kill Pavel in name of his family's honour or forgive him in name of love and friendship.
L’empire Ottoman au tournant du 20ème Siècle. C’est l’histoire d’une grande amitié entre deux hommes : Mitré, un pauvre chrétien macédonien et Osman, un riche musulman turc. En dépit des différences sociales et culturelles entre les deux familles, leur amitié dure des années…Mais à un certain moment, les tensions deviennent trop grandes : l’amitié chavire. Le petit Pavel, neveu de Mitré, devient le motif d’une surenchère de violence et de vengeance. Deux générations plus tard, Pavel vit en Belgique sous le nom de Paul. Il a une fille : Els. Orchan, un descendant d’Osman, débarque avec le but de le trouver et de venger sa famille. Il tombe amoureux d’Els, sans savoir que son père est celui qu’il doit tuer. Lorsqu’il découvre la vérité, il se trouve face à un très gros dilemme : tuer Pavel au nom de l’honneur de sa famille, ou lui pardonner au nom de l’amour et de l’amitié.
