synopsis

John is released after a few months, but he steps out into a new world. Marjan has left him, Ella is pregnant and Barry has woken from his coma. John may have kicked his drinking habit in prison, but his new addiction is just as bad, if not worse: power. When De Pelsmaecker asks him to take over de Beco's business, his new assignment turns into an obsession.
John soon rises through the criminal ranks, higher than ever before. And the fact that De Pelsmaecker is developing romantic feelings for him, places him in a unique position of power. A position that becomes precarious when the murder of De Beco starts to weigh down on the conscience of terminally ill Carl Dockx.
