This documentary concerns the northernmost part of Sweden and Norway, where a seemingly endless conflict over land and borders is taking place. Simon and Beatrice Marainen, and their three kids, are a part of an indigenous, semi-nomadic Sami community of reindeer herders, who have traditionally moved freely across northern Scandinavia, following the natural movement of their animals. But today, nationalism, bureaucracy and politics are threatening their traditional way of life.
