Bibi and Ama are two lesbian friends in their early twenties. Hoping to become better versions of themselves, they move in together, into an apartment in Brussels. In their own ways, but under the very same roof, they share at least one new insight: coming out doesn’t mean coming clean.

synopsis

For their final year of college, Bibi and Ama, two lesbian friends in their early twenties, move in together, into a new apartment in Brussels. Despite their opposite personalities and backgrounds, the quirky pair believe they are ready to begin their grown-up lives as roomies. The only thing they have to figure out is what on earth being a grown-up means. The new roomies embark on a search for themselves, for each other, for their phone, and a permanent spot for the house key. Living together offers Bibi and Ama a lot of freedom, but also has its downside. They are soon confronted with their own limits and expectations, and therefore also with each other’s.
Bibi et Ama, deux amies lesbiennes au début de la vingtaine, décident d’emménager ensemble dans un appartement à Bruxelles avec l’espoir de devenir de meilleures versions d’elles-mêmes. Logées sous le même toit, elles vont, chacune à leur manière, parvenir à la même conclusion : coming out doesn't mean coming clean.
Roomies vertelt het verhaal van Bibi en Ama, twee lesbische vriendinnen in hun twintiger-jaren. In de hoop een betere versie van zichzelf te worden, trekken ze bij elkaar in op een appartement in Brussel. Elk op hun eigen manier, maar onder hetzelfde dak, komen ze tot nieuwe inzichten: het leven heeft geen handleiding, de liefde nog minder en zijzelf al helemaal niet. Roomies is een intieme reeks vol humor en herkenbaarheid.
