After an accident that cuts short her sporting career, Splinter sets out on a journey of self-discovery.

synopsis

When promising athlete Splinter hears the diagnosis that she will never run again after suffering a crippling fall on the track, she decides to leave her father/coach and trade the village in which she was born for the city. Here she searches for independence and a new goal in life. Meeting her eccentric housemate Bill sets off an intense quest for direction, a future, sexuality, friendship and enough love for herself that she can let go and love someone else.
Wanner de gedisciplineerde altletiekbelofte Splinter na een verlammende val op de piste de diagnose krijgt nooit meer te kunnen lopen, beslist ze haar vader/coach en geboortedorp in te ruilen voor de stad waar ze op zoek gaat naar zelfstandigheid en een nieuw doel in haar leven. De ontmoeting met haar excentrieke huisgenoot Bill is het startschot van een intense zoektocht naar een richting, een toekomst, seksualiteit, vriendschap en genoeg liefde voor zichzelf om iemand anders graag te kunnen zien en loslaten.
