synopsis

Sthlm Requiem follows inquiry agent and criminologist Fredrika Bergman when she accepts a position with the Stockholm Police. She's recruited by their special investigation's unit, and is rarely welcomed by the department. However, her different background and exceptional talent gives her a unique perspective that, in the end, helps the unit solve their cases again and again.Stockholm is arguably a character in its own right in Sthlm Requiem. The new and modern police headquarters act as the main hub for the show's action. The rooftop offers a view of the entire city, revealing a scenescape undergoing extensive changes as the old Stockholm gives way to the new. Each of the show's five films features a concluded case, all linked together by the main characters' personal journeys.
Na een tragisch auto-ongeval gaat criminoloog Frederika Bergman aan de slag bij het speciale onderzoeksteam van de politie in Stockholm. Het team staat onder leiding van de legendarische rechercheur Alex Recht en zijn rechterhand, de getalenteerde, maar ambitieuze en licht ontvlambare Peder Rydh. Aanvankelijk wordt Frederika als ‘burger’ met de nodige scepsis ontvangen, maar haar intelligentie, logica en frisse kijk helpen het team zaken op te lossen. Langzamerhand wordt ze een geaccepteerd en zelfs geliefd lid van het team, dat naast persoonlijke verwikkelingen onder meer te maken krijgt met gekidnapte kinderen, de moord op een religieus echtpaar en de ontvoering van twee joodse jongens.
Deze ambitieuze reeks is de verfilming van de populaire boeken van Kristina Ohlson. Elke aflevering behandelt een specifieke zaak en speelt zich een jaar na de vorige af. Eén zaak loopt als een rode draad doorheen de hele reeks.
