A father and son have very different lives to the one they imagined after the son's riding accident.

synopsis

The Heir tells the story of father Raf and his son Dominique and their passion for horse racing, a long-standing family tradition. Raf is 65 years old but is still a jockey whereas his son has been in a wheelchair since an accident. It is therefore impossible for him to be the 'heir' his father intended. As a result, the two men embrace religion.
The Heir raconte l’histoire d’un père, Raf, de son fils Dominique, et de la relation qu’ils ont avec leur passion : les courses de chevaux, une tradition familiale. Raf a 65 ans mais est toujours jockey. Le fils aurait pu suivre la même carrière que son père, mais a eu un accident quand il était jeune. Depuis lors, il se déplace en chaise roulante. Il lui est dès lors impossible de devenir l’héritier que son père aurait voulu. En essayant de donner une réponse à cet accident dans leur vie quotidienne, ils sont devenus très religieux.
