This film is meant to be a film about man, humanity and the typical human nature with all its qualities, flaws, agonies and dreams. The makers of this film worked with people from the Anneessens immigrant quarter in Brussels.

synopsis

This film is meant to be a film about man, humanity and the typical human nature with all its qualities, flaws, agonies and dreams. The makers of this film worked with people from the Anneessens immigrant quarter in Brussels. Together with them they wrote the script and developed their roles, partly based on their lives and on their experiences and emotions, but also on their dreams and longings. In this way the film covers several cultural backgrounds gathered in one neighbourhood. All actors are co-authors and they all have one thing in common: they left something behind or are planning to do so. Being on the run and the metamorphosis of becoming someone else or starting a new life in a new place is the central theme in this film. In this way they give shape to their everyday 'struggle for life'.
Le film est sensé être un film sur l'homme, l'humanité et la nature humaine typique avec toutes ses qualités, défauts, douleurs et rêves. Le réalisateur du film a travaillé avec des personnes venant d'Annessens, un quartier d'immigrés à Bruxelles. Ensemble, ils ont écrit le scripte et développé leur rôles, en partie inspirés de leur vies et de leurs expériences et émotions, mais aussi de leurs rêves et désirs. De cette manière, le film couvre plusieurs origines culturelles rassemblées dans un voisinage. Tous les acteurs sont co-auteurs et ils ont tous une chose en commun : ils ont laissé quelque chose derrière eux ou prévoient de le faire. Etre dans la course et la métamorphose pour devenir quelqu'un d'autre, ou commencer une nouvelle vie dans un nouvel endroit est une thématique centrale du film. De cette manière, ils donnent une forme à leur "combat quotidien pour la vie".
