synopsis

Jessica Comley is Border Patrol agent, charged with policing the US-Mexico border in Arizona, keeping out drugs and migrants. Despite the pressure of the work, and the apathy of her colleagues, Comley loves her job. She wants to be the best. She is ready for anything, and she mistrusts everyone, particularly the Tohono O’odham Native Americans. She suspects they are behind all the trafficking, takes every opportunity to beat them down. Then, in a moment of extreme pressure, she kills an injured migrant, a harmless man. And there are witnesses: her partner, a Native American and his grandson. From that point on, it will be her word against theirs.
Jessica Comley fait partie de la police des frontières américaine à la frontière entre l'Arizona et le Mexique. Dans ce désert impitoyable, elle est fière et déterminée à défendre par tous les moyens l'Amérique contre les trafiquants de drogue et l'immgration clandestine. Mais à force de repousser sans cesse les limites, une de ses interventions tourne mal et un vieil Amérindien et de son petit-fils en sont témoins. Face aux autorités, ce sera sa parole contre la leur.
